Brevard Virtual (BVS) or Florida Virtual School (FLVS)
The State of Florida no longer requires an online course to meet high school graduation requirements.
We encourage all of VHS students to use Brevard Virtual School (BVS) if they wish to take additional course online. This will allow students to have a teacher assigned to them who reside in Brevard County.
Students if you are looking to take an online class, please meet with your school counselor to make sure it is the right fit for you based on your post-secondary goals.
Brevard Virtual School Directions
Students once you enroll in the course your parent and your school counselor will need to approve the course prior to be assigned a teacher. VHS School Counselor check FLVS/BVS enrollment requests daily so you do not need to email us letting us know you need approval for the course.
According to FLVS students will be placed in their requested courses as soon as possible, in most cases, within 72 hours after completing registration and required approvals. Occasionally placement may take longer due to high enrollment (summertime beginning of the semester), during these times FLVS strive to place students within 14 days of your selected preferred start date. FLVS will do their best to place you on your preferred start date. However, placement at that time is not guaranteed.
How do I check the status of my course request? Login to your account using your username and password. Check the Student Dashboard to see the status of your course. See the progress wheel for course specific status and any banners will provide the required information to complete the enrollment process.
